That is quite a planet you live on
We live on a planet of men of power with competing ambitions. The most devious rise to the top by brutal methods while trying to appear civil. They know how to blackmail or bribe the right people to get what they want. Ordinary people don't grasp how ruthless these people are in their quest for power.
