yes i think they would if they could. Frankly i am sick of hearing how tough millenials have it.
They do have it tougher.
We no longer have a republic.
I have mixed feelings about the millenials.
On one hand, they do have it tougher. They inherited a world that now requires both people to work to support any family. They have a much more difficult time finding someone fairly normal if they just want to have a normal, traditional life. Many, judging by friends of my son, have completely given up on ever owning a home, at least at this point in time. Rents are super high, so saving half a million for a decent down-payment is out of the question. Even with that amount of money down, mortgages are still expensive enough that they’re trapped living in a money pit.
Having said that, I see them wasting money like mad fools. Some of them have most or even all meals delivered to them, via uber eats or something like that....apps on their phones. They squander away money for silly entertainment, spend hours on video games and in general seem lost and complacent.
It’s difficult to know exactly what has happened to them, but they sure didn’t inherit the world we did, or the skills and drive to navigate it.
I’m with you on that.
I work with a few and have a couple on my staff who were clearly raised right and are hardworking, intelligent, decent people. Even they are disgusted with their peers who took out student loans with no plan in place on how to pay them back and now want lots of free stuff and vote accordingly.
They throw giant, destructive temper tantrums when they don’t get their way in an election. That performance they put on in 2016 was disgraceful. I was working just south of Oakland, CA then and their tantrum went on in the streets for at least three days. Fortunately, I was just a bit south of all of that and they didn’t impede my ability to get to and from work or run my errands.
For the most part, they come off as a whiny, spoiled, humorless bunch.
