Exactly! When my husband was diagnosed with diabetes, I totally changed our menus and cut out the sweets in the house. All meals were low-carb. Although neither of us were obese, we both started losing weight.
I could have benefited from losing 20 pounds, but I lost too much. I lost 30 pounds in the first year and then an additional fifteen pounds after that. Earlier this year, my doctor told me to gain ten pounds before I returned for my next check-up. I’m working on it and hope the meal today will add a couple pounds. LOL!
