Colts owner Jim Irsay didn’t hold back when he recalled his 2014 DUI arrest in his first in-depth interview during HBO’s “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel” segment on Nov. 21.
The billionaire businessman was candid about his years-long battle with addiction and appeared visibly angry while recounting the night he was pulled over by police in Carmel, Indiana, for driving erratically.rsay explained the incident wasn’t a low point for him because he felt “the arrest was wrong” as he was recovering from hip surgery at the time.
“I had just had hip surgery and been in the car for 45 minutes and they asked me to walk the line,” Irsay told journalist Andrea Kremer, according to a clip on social media. “Are you kidding me? I could barely walk at all.”

Rich drunk billionaire
You’d think a billionaire could afford a driver and keep his drunk (or drugged, in this case) driving to private courses or on boats in open water...if he really needs to do that in the first place.

Next, he'll get picked up in a raid of some sleazy massage parlor.
As someone here noted earlier, it’s good for him to be playing the race card, for if we do that often enough, we’ll gum-up the entire meaning of it.
Driving while Owning an NFL Team
DONT
He is actually a huge step up from his father Robert, a mean drunkard who shopped the Baltimore Colts to multiple cities in search of a guarantee that he’d get a domed stadium as well as the AC contract. He moved the Colts in 1983 in the middle of the night to Indy. Nobody knew until the next day. Jimmy is apparently much more likable than his father.
He wasn’t drunk, but there were painkillers in his system. A different kind of driving under the influence. Just wasn’t alcohol.
