Humphreys (citing time dilation) theorizes based on scripture that from the beginning, the heavens were stretched out, taking their current form over potentially huge amounts of time, whereas earth and man’s dominion over it occurred basically as plainly described in Genesis, no verbal or interpretational gymnastics being necessary.
How long did it take?, Humphreys is asked.
According to whose clock?, is his response.
It’s a good response!
To see so many PhD luminaries (in their own mind, at least), so many being proud atheists, break out into a Ralph-Kramdenesque “Homina...homina...homina” and start scrambling to justify their salaries is absolutely worth the price of admission.
Pretty sure scripture is how we ended up with a Big Bang theory to begin with.
My personal theory is that the Universe is recycling constantly. That there is a limit to how far light can travel and how much we can actually see here with our limited “vision”... That space/time itself has a partical/wave-form arising from Quanta that can account for the apparent Hubble volume expansion/movement/etc...
Did JHVH kick-start the whole shebang? Sure. Why not? You try explaining spontaneous Universal creation to a 3700 BC sheep herder...
I just don’t think the current models work without dark-fiction and unobtanium. It isn’t neccesary.
Awesome!
dark-fiction... unobtainium...lol😁
