Banal-sky. For some, the back story, was what pulled them in.
Where I saw an unrequested vandal, scribbler or tagger, they saw a chronicler of local zeitgeist.
Some of Banksy’s art is really powerful. I bought one of his pieces at auction in London a couple years ago.
