As I get older, losing money in stock market makes more depressed. In 1974, At age 34, I lost $50,000 in Avnet company stock, which was almost all of my savings. I was depressed, got over it in just 3 months and began building new investment capital.
However when my 5000 shares in Avnet would have been worth $350,000, just 2 years later in 1976, then depression hit me harder.
But I learned my lesson of never buying individual stocks on margin. Have done Okay since then.
Life can be weird
Yup, it sure can be, but it makes it unique and uncertain- but sometimes I’d just like normal and boring lol
