I am a big Bama fan, but I haven’t watched a single snap on TV this year. I listen to the local radio station online. It reminds me of old times when not every Bama game was on the TV box, and we had to listen to the radio. The people announcing are actual Bama fans. The TV hosts, no matter the network, ALL hate Bama. Plus I can do stuff while listening to the game rather than being glued to the TV.

I’m too ignorant of football to appreciate why TV hosts would hate one particular team like Alabama so uniformly and consistently. When I was in my pool I was aware that, because of all the research I had to do to be competitive, I gave a LOT of weekly clicks to NFL.com, individual team web sites and betting web sites. I assume that advertisers use clicks data, in part, to set their ad rates, so it was important to me to remove my weekly clicks from their data. In my feeble little mind, I was hurting teams and advertisers by removing my clicks. In reality, they probably didn’t notice, but I was making a teeny weeny point.
I grew up in Chicago. Big time Cubs fans, my late mom being the biggest. She would watch the games on TV with the sound down and listen to her local radio guys for commentary.
