Of course I agree with DeSantis on a lot of things, and Gruesome Newsom is trying to sell out California and eventually the whole U.S. to China.
However, I tried to watch the debate with the eyes of younger voters who have not been following the more conservative media.
From that perspective, I think DeSantis LOST, more than Newsome winning. DeSantis often looked whiny, petulant and immature in my opinion.
The big winner was President Trump, whom Newsome built up as a force far beyond DeSantis or other Republicans. He credited Trump with stature, maturity and gravitas—and even star power—in the eyes of my hypothetical young voter.
At least Newsom got that right.
