Last spring, a Georgia middle-school student stabbed another student 14 times in the school's gymnasium.
Now, the victim's mother, Ashley Wilson of Henry County, southeast of Atlanta, is suing administrators at Ola Middle School in McDonough, arguing that they did not take action against the suspect despite knowing that the then-eighth-grader had a knife and intended to use it.

Once I saw the victim, I didn’t have to guess the perp.

I’m glad she kept her eyesight. Her perp would not have hesitated to try and take that if they thought of it.
There are plenty of chilling descriptions to this story including the line about her blonde hair becoming red with blood. Sickening! Evil is amongst us.
“White girl bleed a lot”
public schools, public school administrators and public school unions should be eliminated.
Just another child of Obeyme.
(animalistic behavior)
Except for rioting and looting.
It’s democracy in action!

I spent decades teaching in urban public high schools. Permit me to make a few comments.
Teacher unions are hard-core leftist, and corrupt. But they have nothing to do with this problem. Nothing. Unions do not set school policies of any sort. And they certainly don’t set discipline or safety rules. They just don’t.
Administrators have EVERYTHING to do with this problem. When I first started teaching (mid-1980s) we had sensible administrators. Many were military veterans. They were tough, and they usually acted in the best interests of the staff and the students.
No longer. Most administrators now come right from university schools of education. They have little teaching experience, and no real-world experience. Their #1 goal is good PR. Keep bad news out of the papers! Actual school safety means nothing to them.
I want to defend public education, as it provides a much-needed melting pot. But I can no longer do this, at least when it comes to urban public education. I tell my city friends not to send their kids to a city school. Either pick a private school if you can afford it, or just get out of the city.
Why are they not calling it what it is, a racial attack, black on white and a heinous hate crime.
It was an attack on a minority (Henry Co is now majority black.
We are already on the road to a South Africa type society.
You shouldn’t be a school administrator unless you have taught for ten years.
Principal means principal teacher not principal administrator
School’s only 28% black, which was a surprise. Looks like 3 or so attackers in that picture.
I seriously doubt that, probably 15 year old stats.
Excellent suggestion. My last principal taught for a grand total of two years. Then she was promoted. Why? She was woke, and she was a lesbian.
Working for her was very difficult. When she observed my class, I never knew how she would react. She’d give me a passing grade. Then the very next time she would write me up for using unapproved teaching methods. (I never changed my teaching style. I knew what worked, and what didn’t.)
Maybe this is all my fault. Instead of putting a picture of Albert Einstein on the wall, I should have put a picture of Megan Rapinoe. That probably would have made my principal very happy.
So a school resource officer (I assume a police officer) reported the student had a knife to an administrator. If the officer had information that the student was illegally armed why didn’t he or she investigate regardless of the administration. Otherwise, why have police in the school.
Yes.
God bless the soul of Colin Flaherty (1955-2022).

I’ll field that one. As I noted earlier (post #10) I taught in urban public schools for decades. We had school police in our buildings. We also had principals who didn’t want any police reports filed, ever. Bad publicity, dontcha know?
Most of our school police officers were good guys. But woe to any of them who crossed a principal! Such behavior would get you transferred from a somewhat decent school (one where you had a handle on things) to a trash, miserable, out-of-control school. I saw that happen many times.
So maybe the school police officer said to himself, “If the administration is not concerned, maybe I shouldn’t be concerned.” That approach is something we cannot accept. But, yeah. I can see a school police officer thinking that way.
this young girl has been permanently injured and it could have been worse, and then we have the arses FILMING the entire thing rather than help stop it....
how about you can’t be an administer or a school teacher until you’ve paid taxes for a good 10 yrs .....
