Those are some of our favorite places. Paradise Inn is the greatest — I love those old National Park Lodges. I first stayed there in 1974 when I did some engineering work in the Northwest and we stayed there again about five years ago.

Be sure to get to the Olympic Peninsula, too. Magnificent mountains over there and some VERY wet rainforest nearby, too.

I will second that. Very wet rainforest, huge trees, big ferns, you can imagine Bigfoot living there. Many years ago made it into the National Park just at sundown. Saw huge Elke moving across fallen huge logs like they were nothing

We visited the Olympic Peninsula and the National Park on our 2021 trip. Bucket list stuff, no doubt.

Bummed to hear about the Hurricane Ridge Lodge burning. Glad we got to see it on our trip.
