That is the real danger. The dems blatantly cheated in 2020, essentially performing an election coup d'etat, and installed their man. Why would they not do the same next year?
Can we expect the weak, flaccid republican party establishment to ensure fair elections? Probably not. Can we expect they too will engage in cheating to counteract the dems? Definitely not.
