I do hope they will have an air-conditioned all indoor dome. Even construction crews (who start at or before 4 am) call it quitters in Las Vegas by noon in the summertime. The days get really brutal afterward.

They will. There’s plenty of money in Vegas to do things right. They have had a strategy to make the city an entertainment destination rather than just a gambling mecca. And there’s been a lot of out-migration from SoCal to the Vegas suburbs.
A company named Brightline is building a privately owned high speed rail line that will connect Vegas to Apple Valley in SoCal. This should increase the already strong connection between the regions.
