Musk is a "celebrity" and has a voice. People may not always like what he says, but they do hear it.

Such a statement by Musk is, on that basis, important.

It may be a drop in the bucket, but still.

As an aside, we adults may not particularly care what Musk says, but a lot of young men (boys, actually) of the nerdy variety listen quite closely to Musk. These are the same young men who are influenced by Jordan Peterson's message of "be responsible for yourself...grow up."
