I am amazed that Freepers forget the promises that were made years ago. Here is one example:
“return to the moon by the end of the century and to begin flights to Mars early in the 21st century”
These were not considered fantasies at the time.
It is the epic failure of NASA (and I am a results person, have zero interest in excuses) that is the headline here.
Promises by politicians??? Only the terminally naive believe those. The only promises that politicians ever keep are those that invoke increasing taxes - even when they promise NOT to raise taxes “read my lips. No new taxes”. Big Bush
