The “ignorami” are eminent scientists and engineers from countries all over the world—who are not on the payroll of NASA or its contractors or subcontractors.
They’re ignorami promoting some really stupid falsehoods. Thos who have scientific and engineering credentials of their own are not necessarily impressed by other peoples’ alleged credentials.
I thought you had nothing to do with it ...
You need to do better.
QUIT LYING.
Every statement I have made is true.
You are free to discount the link if you wish—but eventually the truth will be told....even if it is unpopular and even if it angers some folks that they were scammed.
Mighty white of you.
but eventually the truth will be told
Not by that bunch of retards.
even if it is unpopular
The truth seems to be "unpopular" with you ...
angers some folks that they were scammed.
Eventually, you'll figure out that the people behind "aulis dot com" have scammed you.
You need to do better.
QUIT LYING.
Lets say we could go to the Moon which is doubtful. Its a dead rock who cares? Let China go there 400 times. 🙄
You’ve been reading too much science fiction. You do know fusion power is nothing but a form of welfare for scientists and engineers. You do know that Heinlein’s book “the moon is a harsh mistress” is FICTION. You do know that anything placed on the moon would have to be brought from earth at a cost that makes it completely cost ineffective. You space Kadets who think that it’s worthwhile or even feasible to go to other planets need to get a grasp on physics and economics. Just how much do you think it costs to soft land a kg on the moon? Just how much mass do you think “mag rail mass driver” has. Just how much mass do you think a power plant to drive such a thing might mass?
The Apollo program cost $257,000,000,000 in 2020 dollars and brought back 850 lb of moon rocks. That’s about $320,000,000 per pound just to put into perspective the cost of space dreams.
Time for you to catch up see SpaceX where the costs will drop dramatically - they have already gone down even without the StarShip becoming operational.
Your reference to Heinlein in 1966 shows just how far behind actual space launches and recoveries you are. This is 2023 and there have been a lot of changes.
Else you are just trolling.
Your mass driver reference is pure Heinlein fiction. And your post pure fantasy.
once again you failed to read you own post - you are the one who mentioned the long dead author. How’s the weather in St Petersburg, better than Moscow’s?
Most space kadets such as yourself are fantasists with pipe dreams of manned space exploration, moon bases, asteroid mining and mars colonies. I’ve come across your type before and have discovered that y’all cling to your fantasies regardless of facts and logic. Have a great day and enjoy your dreams.
Oh and BTW it’s Delray Beach not St Petersburg
I am amazed that Freepers forget the promises that were made years ago. Here is one example:
“return to the moon by the end of the century and to begin flights to Mars early in the 21st century”
These were not considered fantasies at the time.
It is the epic failure of NASA (and I am a results person, have zero interest in excuses) that is the headline here.
There is one reason and only one reason that I can think of for going beyond to atmosphere and that’s comsats. As far as sending people to the moon or even more absurd Mars I can’t think of a single reason to do it. Looking at the Apollo missions to put it in perspective they brought back about 850 lb of moon rocks at a cost in 2020 dollars of $257 billion. This works out to $302 million a lb. In 2020 dollars. Kind of a waste of money.
On vacation? - St Petersburg, Russia is dreary this time of year
Promises by politicians??? Only the terminally naive believe those. The only promises that politicians ever keep are those that invoke increasing taxes - even when they promise NOT to raise taxes “read my lips. No new taxes”. Big Bush
