The 10 min.+ video linked at comment 21 does indeed bring up some interesting points. It appears that ISW reports on current map positions are coming into disagreement with official Russian reports of troop map positions. The presenter suggests that an increasing number of field commanders are being told to do something, and then reporting back, Oh, yes, it is done. So Russian maps are more and more failing to match reality when Ukrainian drone footage shows Ukraine troops moving with complete safety in areas Russia is indicating they now control. This can lead to serious problems if Russia starts shelling areas they believe are Ukraine held when in fact the Russians are still sitting there and have not been moving.

A detailed analysis is given on how to interpret what Russian military bloggers are saying and NOT saying. These bloggers are primarily trying to reach the common Russian soldiers so must be reasonably accurate or loose their soldier audience which actually knows the facts on their ground.
