If we are going down that path, I would prefer living in Brazil. At least in Brazil, a cop can shoot a criminal. And no one is going to lose sleep over it.
Here in the U.S., you're $#it out of luck.
So the point is, be careful when you go to a "no-go" zone like Chicago, San Francisco, Baltimore, Detroit, etc. Be aware that the police are prohibited from helping you if you are in need of assistance.
