Whatever the equivalent is in statutes.
The were probably not planning to kill him, so it’s manslaughter. But they didn’t care enough to ensure their actions didn’t kill him, so it’s second degree.

It seems the equivalent to second-degree manslaughter is voluntary manslaughter. It’s worth 1-10 years in the state pen.
