You probably have not heard the names Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom.
But I remember those names, and the tears that were brought to my eyes when I heard about what happened to them.
On January 7, 2007, the young white couple - Channon was 21, her boyfriend Chris was 23 - was abducted, beaten, raped, tortured, and murdered. Chris eventually shot to death before being set on fire, and Channon left to die with a plastic bag over her head in a trash can. The perpetrators were all black.
If you have not heard their story, it’s because the racial nature of that black-on-white crime was uncomfortable for the national media a decade ago. Even now, it’s uncomfortable, as the delayed and reluctant coverage of the Chicago tortures showed.

Black Lives Matter
Why didn’t this reporter interview any white people? Oh yeah...it was a white kid that died so nothing to see here. This is a very sad story. The black people interviewed seem to blame the white kid more than the black kids. I don’t know what that was all about.
I was mocking the media’s despicable coverage of this sort of thing. Remember the “knockout game”? Only morally depraved people would ever call something that often resulted in the deaths of innocents that, which is to say, numerous members of the gaslight media called it exactly that.
It always helps to go to the statute.
In Nevada, Murder is: “Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being: 1. With malice aforethought, either express or implied;...”
Watching that video, it is obvious that the killers exhibited malice. They won’t be held to account because of their age, and the political climate.

Murder implies intent. Did they intend to murder him or were they just expecting to lay a beating that would hospitalize him for a few days?
I agree that it’s murder, but you can’t call it that unless you can prove that was their intent, as opposed to simply going too far.
That’s how the law works. You have to include the thought as well as the actions to determine proper charges.
