I did too. And Rush’s updates. I miss Rush.
Me too! Hard to find quality versions of Shanklin parodies on YouTube, but there is a video from Rush’s 360 cam where he jockies the song.
“Fwiday night and the cash is woh...”
Ditto! Liked them from the start. All the elements of good music—beat, melody, harmony, lyrics—blend almost perfectly in their music.
Love Abba. Nothing better than Swedish culture of that era, IMO.
Tommy Johansson does a heavy metal cover of The Winner Takes It All. Very powerful voice:

When I was in college, my best friend and room mate really liked disco (It is where you meet the chicks). I liked heavy metal. The only disco music I liked was ABBA, so it got played a lot.
If you've never listened to Eagle, you're missing out on a haunting story they did. Listen to it a couple times and you'll get the fantasy the guys wrote and the girls sang to perfection.

“ The guy who ate a rat?”
Yep. It’s not the kind of band I’d have thought a tough guy would listen to.
I just found this post on reddit.
Seems to work so far...

“The girls were so elegant, beautiful, and talented, as opposed to the skanks we have today.”
Same thing was said of them back then, that they were skanks compared to the women of the day.
So true. My hubby played local venues in So Calif in the early 1970’s. He covered songs from James Taylor, Hoyt Axton, Jise Feliciano…and many others…to make a living.
He has weakness in his hands, but wants to breakout the nylon string guitar so he can play for our grand daughters - who are 6 and 4 yrs old. They love music, especially silly songs like Herman the worm. Gotta play to your audience. 😛
LOL!
