In regard to Snake Island the FU audio was real, there was nothing terrible about the reporting.
On the very first day Ukraine was attacked and Russia launched its war, the Russians shelled and attacked Snake island, and communication was lost, the 13 border guards were presumed dead.
Two days later the Ukrainian Border Guard reported that they may have been captured alive, and then on the 4th day the Ukrainian Navy reported that they had been captured alive.
In the first 2 days of a war that is pretty good intelligence, and government reporting for an overrun island manned by 13 men.
