The article implies this is some unexplained mystery. “Gee, don’t Californian’s have it rough?” No idea that voting for Democrats on almost every state an local level just couldn’t be a factor.

Sorry for my fellow conservative brethren in CA, but this is what people in California keep voting for so they must be okay for it.

Young folks on blogs often ask “how do I go from broke to wealthy”.

If they live in CA the answer is a no brainer.

Run.

Factoid—the median CA home costs five times as much as the median WV house.

(...while median CA salaries are less than double median WV salaries)

The inflated CA numbers means higher federal and state income taxes on top of all the other damage.

That is a low ball number. On average the penalty has been 30-40% for over a decade — and that is before that corrupt BeijingBiden admin took basics like food and gas out of the CPI.

It’s the “Sunshine, Coastline, and Gorgeous Places” tax.

California living costs typical middle-class family an extra $26,479 per year

And that's not counting the "attitude tax."

No extra charge for the wildfires and power outages and crime, so that helps.

I was born and raised in Southern California, Bellflower Paramount, and Downey areas.
I figured it out in 1979, get out! The Democrats are destroying the state. So I left.

California the instruction manual on how to fail at everything.

Hate this place but locked in with few options if any to escape.

You can be making $20/hr and it will only pay for a 1 bedroom apt ($2,000 a month) and utilities and a old car with some food and no money left over.
