We’re conditioned to expect the disappointment. Personally, I’ve been looking at Republican politicians long enough to know it’s not a matter of ‘if’ we’ll be let down, but rather, ‘when’. McCarthy is the most recent and dramatic example of this kind of thing. As the saying goes, ‘you gotta dance with the one that brought you.’
Frankly, it’s the reason I support Trump so steadfastly. SO far, I do not see that he has ever reneged on publicly stated views, goals or policies.
