Of course, you’re right. But Conservatives have been routinely betrayed, cheated and exploited by people who razzle dazzle voters while campaigning, then give us the bum’s rush, once in office
We’re conditioned to expect the disappointment. Personally, I’ve been looking at Republican politicians long enough to know it’s not a matter of ‘if’ we’ll be let down, but rather, ‘when’. McCarthy is the most recent and dramatic example of this kind of thing. As the saying goes, ‘you gotta dance with the one that brought you.’
Frankly, it’s the reason I support Trump so steadfastly. SO far, I do not see that he has ever reneged on publicly stated views, goals or policies.

TR was not a Conservative. His hatred for Conservatism was such that he sabotaged President Taft’s reelection to foist the Marxist Wilson on America. Warren Harding, conversely, was a great Conservative President. Cut spending, cut taxes, cut government and unleashed the prosperity of the 1920s that was in the doldrums under Wilson. No GOP President in 100 years since has achieved that (not Reagan or Trump).
She was elected by folks wanting change and she capitulates to AOC . The pubbies are the roll over party.

Marmorato should take a look at what Nikki Fried did in Florida. She was the lone Democrat holding statewide office (agriculture commissioner). Did she say she would work with Republicans? No, she used her position to bash DeSantis at every opportunity she got and pushed for Democrat agenda items that were within her departmental jurisdiction.
Fried knew she was behind enemy lines and did her best to tarnish DeSantis because the Democrats knew he was a rising star in the Republican party. She even gave the keynote address at the DNC convention in 2020.
That's how it's done when your constituents vote for change (except that Floridians didn't know what they were getting with Fried, who ran on a platform of medical marijuana).
Bronx voters didn't pick Marmorato for her to immediately say she would work with the other side. If that's what the voters wanted, they'd have chosen another Democrat.

And for that his own party went after him. That was why Roosevelt left them and was approached by a third party and made president by the people. Same thing with Trump only he stayed to repair the party and Roosevelt left it. And you can see how Trump was treated by his own party for staying.
Roosevelt’s ideas for the party were so good he was voted in for his ideas as a third party. In all realities, so was Trump.
