Surveillance video captured the appalling moment a St. Louis teenager attempted to grab a baby from a mother’s arms as she crossed the street with her husband.
The incident happened in the Central West End neighborhood Sunday, as a family of crossed the street at around 8.30am.
The mother - wearing a blue jacket - is seen holding her 11-month-old baby as the father walks beside them.
A man in a gray hoodie, identified as 19-year-old Anthony McGee, begins to move towards the family.
Suddenly, McGee grabs the infant. The father manages to fight him off before chasing him out of frame, with McGee then said to have broken an 82 year-old woman's arms.
Moments earlier, McGee is accused of smashing a liquor bottle over the head of a 42-year-old woman, according to charging documents.
Witnesses tried to stop him from escaping after the brutal attack, to no avail.
That’s when he then pounced on the 29-year-old parents, leaving injuries on the woman's neck and ear.
The teen's riot continued as he strangled an 82-year-old woman down the street, breaking both of her arms.
Several witnesses called 911 to try to stop him.
'I heard someone screaming, a woman screaming,' a resident at the nearby Hawthorne Apartments told FOX 8.
'When I looked out the window, I saw the woman, and she was held and restrained by a man.'

That young couple will never forget that day, when some stranger almost snatched their child away. The child, being a kid, will probably grow tired of hearing about it. This couple would probably benefit from some counseling very soon, or maybe just finding the right family member who will take the time listen to them.

My “Modest Proposal” was a Johnathan Swift thing. Like Swift, who suggested that unwanted babies could have worth as festive eats on the dinner table, I suggested worthless drug addled thugs could be used as cannon fodder. My suggestion, like Swift, was to ridicule the politicians and elites who see the poor black youth as an inconvenience. In the case of black youth, they are only useful when their actions turn to gun violence and become justification to take guns away from Americans. The last thing they want to do is prevent and treat the drug problem.
Generally people don’t steal babies in broad day light out of the mothers arms to be sociable. In addition, the news has been consumed lately with religious maniacs kidnapping babies, beheading babies and other atrocities, as well as those supporting these lunatics. Considering copycats, and millions of fanatics in this country, I was speculating what the motive could have been. Btw, just because someone has an American sounding name, as you initially alluded to, it really doesn’t mean zip.
