JERUSALEM, June 18 (Reuters) - Israel gave preliminary approval for the development of a gas field off the Gaza Strip on Sunday while saying it would require security coordination with the Palestinian Authority and neighbouring Egypt.

If concluded, the agreement would be a boost for the cash-strapped Palestinian economy.

Announcing the move on the Gaza Marine project, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said progress would hinge on "preserving the State of Israel's security and diplomatic needs".

While Egypt and Israel have been producing gas in the eastern Mediterranean for years, the Gaza Marine field, about 30 km (20 miles) off the Gaza coast, has remained undeveloped due to political disputes and conflict with Israel, as well as economic factors.

Gaza Marine is estimated to hold over 1 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, much more than is needed to power the Palestinian territories and some of which could potentially be exported.

The Palestinian Authority did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

"We are waiting to know what exactly the Israelis have agreed to in details. We can’t make a position based on a statement to the media," one Palestinian official told Reuters.

Hamas official Ismail Rudwan told Reuters: "We reaffirm that our people in Gaza have the rights to their natural resources."

Reparations to Israel for 10/7 is amazingly similar to the price of 1 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. I hope Israel has the testicular fortitude to collect. The first thing they should build in Gaza is a natural gas liquidification facility and terminal for export.

Now this really going to complicate negotiations and give Hamas a major incentive to hold on in Gaza.

It has nothing to do with Israel or not Israel. The attacks of 10/7 were allowed by the higher ups in Israel. I deal with surveillance regularly, there is no way that got by their tech and their monitoring operation. It was allowed, because Israeli elites are just like our’s, and decided they wanted something, and if a few thousand Israelis had to die, and Gaza had to die, so Gaza could be leveled so be it.

I will also say, there is no way 9/11 evaded domestic surveillance in the US. Those hijackers were tripping tripwires all over, and somebody was covering their tracks. James Woods’ report the the FBI was a particularly sticky wicket. If you knew what American domestic intel had to do to make that attack happen, you would be shocked.

A pox on the houses of all intelligence. They are a worse enemy of the people than the news media.

If Israel can demolish Hamas then these Gaza offshore gas fields can be developed. This would lead to peace with Gaza. The crazy Sunni fundamentalists who run Hamas are the problem. They hate Jews more than they love/want prosperity and energy independence for the Gazan people.

When you speculate about Hamas, never forget that they are wacko Muslim fundamentalists. I doubt most are Gazans are this crazed. To Hamas they are sheep to be sheered. Video is on Twitter. The Hamas hocho says Hamas has zero responsibility to the Gazan people. That the UN does. Due to them being refugees. Which is a lie. They were refugees 70+ years ago, after the 1948 War for Israel’s independence.

After this 1948 war 800,000 Jews were driven out of Arab nations. That were out for revenge. Most landed in Israel. So everything is even- Steven as far as refugees go. Israel never received a penny from the UN to settle these Jewish refugees. While Gazan Muzzlims have gotten at least a few billion dollars over the years.

Notice that the coordination is with the Palestinian Authority (Fatah) and not with whomever is ruling in Gaza. This would strengthen the PA against Hamas.

I have many questions about this situation going on in Israel and still with 9-11. I do not blindly trust ANY world leaders, including those in Israel.
