I’ve read that some of the tunnels are 200 to 300 feet deep. Can the bombs be effective at that depth? (serious question)

Given the efficiency of ground penetrating radar there is no tunnel that is safe from penetration. Even at 300 feet it is possible to drill and then inject the quick-hardening foam to make the places uninhabitable. In case you think this is ridiculous, there are now experts who find water at depths of 300-400 feet, and there are drillers that can punch a hole in the resource in a day’s work.
