One has heard that conjecture about Putin before... one's own thought is that pending further information, Putin is a neo-Soviet dictator who has no compunction to killing or imprisoning his political adversaries, etc. Could say more but one won't - Putin isn't the subject of one's comment/question.
However, one has always been intrigued by the scriptural reference to modern Babylon but has never construed it to refer to Ukraine...
To be brief, one is skeptical of the interpretation of Revelation referring to modern Iraq as Babylon. One has noted the scriptural description of Babylon as an active modern State that has corruptly influenced the entire world, and will at some time be destroyed in the span of one hour.
Hmmm... So how does one reconsider the seemingly obvious reference to a particular wealthy, maritime nation as modern Babylon, and hold Ukraine up to scrutiny and consideration?
This is something new; please elucidate.
Two possible interpretations, Bible refers to Babylon and whore of Babylon as though these were one and the same, as in “Babylon played the whore” but one could also read it as Babylon and the whore of Babylon, it is in that sense that I refer to Ukraine as whore of Babylon, the globalist entity that governs the west nowadays. And that also would make it valid to say the great city (again, often overlapping with Babylon in prophetic interpretation) is the city that rules Babylon. That city undergoes destruction, from at least the Beast if not all three of beast, dragon and false prophet. It is also where the two witnesses die when the beast ascends from the bottomless pit.
Now great city could be a larger entity than just a city alone, just as mountain is often used in prophecy to refer to a nation. What great city has the most power in today’s world? Especially if the required characteristic is a Satanic ideology like globalism? In traditional American eschatology that role has been played by Europe, Rome, the European Union, the Catholic church. These remain valid candidates (Davos and Bilderberg take place there too) but American (progressive-leftist portion) embrace of globalism opens the door to an interpretation that America is the great city, or possibly New York (a woman with a cup being an obvious symbol). Either way, Ukraine can be seen as a whore of any of these, and perhaps the correct interpretation is all of them.
I don’t get an end result from my studies to indicate all of America is destroyed. In fact, I see the new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven (probably figuratively as literally would severely challenge known laws of gravitational physics) and “landing” on the western United States. If you took a cube of that size (roughly 1200 miles on each edge, give or take several hundred) and unfolded it, the resulting entity would cover a large portion of the U.S. and spill over into parts of western Canada.
I think the prophecies are telling us that God’s original covenant with the Jews as the chosen people will be renewed on a larger scale in the Kingdom, a covenant with followers of Christ as the chosen people, and a new Jerusalem from where Christ would rule the nations. All of the descriptions of new Jerusalem suggest it is not to be the “old” Jerusalem, but somewhere else, on a larger scale. I have a prophetic vision of where this is supposed to be (in our future, possibly near future) but I do not have an authorization to say where, as of present time, for two reasons (a) I do not wish to reveal the details before I know the timing even though I feel certain about the locations involved, and (b) I need greater clarity about how to reveal the information for logistical reasons, for example, to avoid land speculation or rushes of curious onlookers, advantage-seeking etc, to conform basically with the wishes of God about these concepts.
It could be that I will never get that authorization and if the event does not happen anyway, that I will pass away and leave the information with trusted parties (a very few people know these details today). It will leave open the question, why did Peter ODonnell know this, was it intended, or did he stumble upon information he was not required or supposed to know — those are questions that I continue to address in my spiritual search. Anyone who contacts me privately would get (if any response) an answer saying similar things.
I have to add that I am intrigued by the basic premises of the Skinwalker Ranch TV program suggesting abnormal activities in parts of t e U.S. (especially western states) and the implication something high tech is buried under a mesa in northern Utah. The location is not really close to places that I had been directed to study for other reasons, but it strikes me as interesting also that mormon theology speaks about visitations of ancient Israelites to the new world (presumably they could have brought the lost Ark with them, but nobody knows its location), and the fact that mormons are the most prominent believers in a concept of America as seat of Jesus Christ in the Kingdom age. At the same time I do not accept some other aspects of mormon theology and I did not convert to their faith. I regard their prophetic interpretation of a seat for the kingdom in western missouri as being incorrect and possibly premature (as I note they later journeyed closer to the correct location).
I suppose one might therefore wonder, is Peter ODonnell one of the two witnesses, but as I am not working with a second person, I do not have any awareness of being such. Nor is the generally secret nature of this vision consistent with a global preaching of the gospel of the kingdom. Still, a lot of people can read this here, and today could be a turn in the road in that regard. Even so, I am revealing no exact details and a lot of people made a similar observation in past times, about America and its duality (wicked reprobate nation, faithful bride). Now the duality extends into the political realm, more so than in the past.
