The Arabs claim that the Jewish Israelis stole Palestine from them. The Israelis did steal it. However, a history lesson needs to be remembered. In 600, Arabs were confined to the Arabian Peninsula. They expanded rapidly during their wars of conquest, taking over the Fertile Crescent and North Africa, and expanding into Spain. The pre-existing nations, like the Assyrians, Egyptians, etc., were Islamicized or exterminated. Arabic mostly replaced the native languages from Morocco to Iraq, Christians who did not convert were marginalized and forced to pay heavy taxes. Coptic Christians, descendants of the original Egyptians, became a minority in their own country. The same is true for the Assyrians, the original inhabitants of Iraq. Unlike the Roman Empire, where the nations the Romans conquered kept their own customs and religions, the Arabs insisted on imposing their culture and religion on their conquered subjects.

The history of mankind is one of one group stealing the land from its former inhabitants. The names of several European countries, such as England, France, and Romania, acknowledge the people that conquered the former inhabitants, in the case of the Angles and Saxons, displacing and killing the native Britons. As for us Americans, we know our own history. As someone has said, those who live in the territory of the Iroquois have no right to criticize the Israelis.

Until 1948 there was no theft.

After 1948, Arabs lost land much as the Germans lost land in 1945. The Arabs lost lands for the same reason the Germans under Hitler did, they started a war of aggression and lost.

The Jews have had a continuous presence in Israel for the last 3,000 years. Prior to 1948, they acquired more land the old-fashioned way, they bought it, from the Turks and Arabs. Additional territory was later gained in wars started by the muslims - don't lose a war you start and then complain about the consequences.
