DICKINSON — A Dickinson woman is currently in custody following a tense situation that unfolded inside a local bank on Wednesday afternoon. According to Dickinson Police Department officials, officers were dispatched to Bravera Bank North, located at 1151 3rd Ave. W., at around 2:25 p.m. in response to a report of a female individual exhibiting erratic behavior within the bank's lobby.

According to employees present during the incident, 36-year-old Savannah Fahlstrom entered the bank with the intent to close her account and withdraw her funds. Fahlstrom and an employee of the bank were discussing the process when Fahlstrom began accusing the bank staff of failing to provide her with the correct amount. Police say that her demeanor took a concerning turn before she allegedly brandished a large hunting knife and began menacingly threatening bank employees.

Prior to law enforcement officers' arrival at the scene, Fahlstrom is said to have left the bank premises and entered her vehicle. Police say she then drove her vehicle into a support pillar located on the bank's exterior. Officers managed to intercept the situation swiftly, ordering Fahlstrom out of her vehicle and apprehending her without further incident.

Following a comprehensive initial investigation into the incident, law enforcement officers arrested Fahlstrom and remanded her into the custody of the Southwest Multi-County Correctional Center.

She faces a range of charges in connection with the incident, including robbery stemming from her purported actions inside the bank, terrorizing behavior directed towards the bank staff during the incident, possession of methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia, and criminal mischief.

Fahlstrom has a history of violent weapon charges including one filed in June of this year when she was charged with a class B felony for robbery with a dangerous weapon, as well as a misdemeanor charge of Menacing. According to court documents, on Feb. 14, Fahlstrom used a knife during a theft against a male victim in Stark County.

Drug addiction often leads to mental conditions.

Unfortunately for her if she gets locked up she will dry out. When she gets out she’ll go back to her habit thinking she can start back where she left off witch can lead to fatal overdosing.
