Lack of wokeness???? I quit watching it when they decided a lip smacking homosexual kiss was necessary to the plot line. No thanks.
I did not like that either, but it was a brief and isolated moment. The larger point is that the defining characters of the series are ready to fight and kill adversaries who threaten them and the main group of survivors. And the few communities of survivors who seem almost idyllically secure are always undermined by external menaces, hidden evils, or corruption. People who fight for you are shown as heroes, while preening types end up exposed as dangerous phonies. That is a kind of Trumpian outlook, wouldn’t you say?
