President Trump’s comments were abruptly cut off, which always makes me suspicious. He stated that there was no legal course in place to do it quickly and directly, which is true, of course. That we all knew.

It really wouldn’t be that difficult to pay for the wall with tariffs and import duties. One could also say that the cost of the Mexican troops President Trump coerced the President of Mexico to place near the border to block would-be illegal immigrants was and in-kind contribution to the cost of constructing the wall.

The Republicans shut down his wall, not the Democrats. The first two years of his presidency we had Republican Senate and House. We had a Republican Senate for his entire presidency. Republicans eaked out funding for it, A few hundred million here, 1 billion or two there, etc. He asked for 18 billion to build the wall and they acted like it was the end of the world. The Republicans stopped his wall. These same Republicans will throw the entire amount he requested for the wall to Israel right now. They have given 15 times that amount to Ukraine in the last two years. The Democrats couldn’t have stopped him if they wanted to. Paul Ryan stopped him. Mitch McConnell stopped him.

What a total bullshit article. It concludes things Trump has never said.

Oh oh. I’m shocked. Shocked I tell you. A politician told an untruth. Never been done before

I mean, pretty much everything Trump said was just something he said because he thought it would make him look good.

Like the dozens of times he said people he was nominating were the best possible people in the world for their jobs, before they managed to do something that he was unhappy with, and then suddenly they were all horrible people who somehow snuck into those positions without Trump having any control over it.

But that is Trump. Still claiming that the election was stollen from him in 2020, while also claiming he was an effective leader who will easily win the 2024 election, despite not being able to prevent his OWN government from stealing his election when he was actually in control of it, but sure now that Biden is in control, the election definitely will be so secure that they can’t steal it from Trump.

Trump is so sure they can’t steal it he even tells people they don’t actually have to vote. Just send him money.

Imagine a world where Trump actually picked people who would actually have investigated Biden instead of Trump allowing the people under him to bury things for years (Odd isn’t it that the Biden administration justice department, as bad as it is, is actually doing a better job of investigating Hunter than Trump’s executive branch ever did).

“The entire of tenor of FR has changed in the past two years with many more crass comments, personal attacks, foul language, etc. And Chris Robinson wonders why the fund raising is facing challenges.”

I suspect those are factors (among others) affecting fund raising, especially the middle-school-level personal attacks/name calling - which seem to continue unabated in spite of Jim Rob’s recent reminder.

I guess it didn’t cost Mexico anything to provide 28,000 troops to guard the border.

He also instituted the "Remain in Mexico" program.

Uh no, but Trump tried, one can't throw one stone and knock the swamp out.

“...make Mexico pay for it”
Yea we knew that was never going to happen.
Building the wall was real until the Uniparty stepped in.

They are their own candidate’s worse enemy.

Instead of informing potential voters for “the other guy” and convincing them that there is a better choice, they instantly throw them out off the republican boat.

Well of course not. One has to drain the swamp first before throwing the stones otherwise the stones will just skip to the other side of the swamp.

The wall was approved in 1986....was always a political football to rehash every so often when the voters got fed up. The fact that Brandon is having border patrol tear down portions shows that it was built. Just needs a 50-mile land-mined no-mans-land between it and the nearest hint of habitation on the Methican side.

The truth is, during his presidency I was amazed at all the promises Trump actually kept and followed through. I know there are many that did not like Trump at the beginning but seeing him keep his promises actually earned him new voters.

Trump built HUNDREDS of miles of big beautiful wall! Despite Democrats fighting him for every INCH of it!

They succeeded because of the delays they caused, the wall and gates in the wall were not completed.

Is a ship with holes in it still a ship? All that was left to do was fix the last few holes and it would float.

We have all seen (by drone footage) miles upon miles of newly constructed and under construction walls.

The list of Trump promises kept and accomplishments made are so long I couldn’t possibly list all them here.

I doubt we will survive the DEATH of “TRUTH” in this country.

The number of illegals that did not enter the US and suck off the gubmint teat more than paid for the wall.

My thoughts exactly. I’m going to vote for Trump, but it’s in spite of the absolute jackassery of those who insult everyone who mentions anything he could say or do differently that might improve his chances of re-election. Adults acting like love-sick teenagers, devoid of all reason.
