Each US state has 3 GOP ‘Chairmen’ that are elected by their respective state’s precinct committeemen. This totals 150 Chairmen or voters present and voting at a national RNC Convention. I believe Rona got way over 100 votes over Harmeet Dhillion during the last election. Before this election, the RNC had managed to keep about 75% of the Precinct Committeemen slots open/empty. The grassroots (MAGA) has had to learn the rules without the RNC’s help or cooperation, which was a detriment and impediment to taking over the RNC. It is an uphill battle, but the tide has shifted. They (GOPe) aren’t going down without a fight, but now that the rules are understood, it’s just a matter of time before the levers of power shift into MAGA’s hands.
Such cutthroat, nasty, crooked antics in politics. So do the grass roots now hold enough ‘Chairmen’ positions to make sure President Trump is the nominee? If they don’t, then I understand why the rest of this bunch running would think they have a chance. If the ‘Chairmen’ don’t elect President Trump, then it’s anybody’s gig, no? Boy, I can imagine the uprising that would cause.

Thanks for explaining that. It’s good to know the behind the scenes things, to explain why some of the things we see that seem ridiculous happened. Like people with 1% still going on with their campaign.
