Ah yes, windmills everywhere you look. Fortunately not in our immediate area, but many out along #3, #6, and all the farms in that area.

And many, if not most, of them are turned off when you drive by. Some running, some sitting. They cost the taxpayers a fortune, but the farmers are loving it.

Most of the farmers had a few windmills erected in their fields. For every windmill, the farmer is paid $20,000.00 per year. Some farmers have 5 and 6 of them on their land, bringing in a cool $100,000.00+ extra. Nice gig.
