So is “navy” not Navy? Should it be capitalized....or is it just Marines? Army? Serious question as I don’t know.

Depends on who you are talking with.
Since you are talking with me... Just Marines are capitalized.
Marines are a dept of the navy...The Men's Dept.
Of course, navy thinks the word Marine stands for:
