The presentation of the concept of a new veterans’ policy took place.
It was presented by five NGOs: Pryncyp, Veteran Hub, Legal Hundred, Space of Opportunities, and Veteranka Movement.
The event was attended by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.
At the meeting, NGOs shared their best practices based on professional experience and international standards.
The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated that the state sector should actively cooperate with civil society in supporting veterans.
The concept describes the state’s approach to interacting with veterans and their families, identifying their needs and ways to meet them. It is a kind of roadmap for the reintegration of veterans.
The document will serve as a guideline for work in this area and will promote a comprehensive approach to social protection of veterans.
