I read that RUSSIA is using Gold to skirt the sanctions.
I assume sanctions are confined, by application, exclusively in terms of dollars and Putin isn’t playing fully? Idk?
Russia works its way around sanctions various ways, but all the ways add cost or trouble.
They have vastly increased domestic production to compensate, as well as shifting trade to more friendly nations that don’t participate in the sanctions.
Both are things we should do more of and encourage with tariffs etc.
