DH made something that looked similar, he would collect a few and then take to BLM (forest) a couple of miles away. He’d put some fluff in the bucket so they would fall on it and be able to hide, and some food and a little dish of water.
I think my neighborhood mice are too lazy to climb the ramp. The little chizzlers sneak in for the easy peeny butter and get the bail right across the ears. Anyway, I have a deal with the magpies to haul the carcusses off and they might not like wet ones? Seems like a mouse will feed a family of magpies for at least two days?
