My mom made the most delicious ginger chocolate chip cookies every Christmas. It wa a recipe on the side of the Dromedary Gingerbread Mix box. Trouble is, Dromedary is no more. I've tried everything but haven't been able to duplicate that taste. The gingerbread mix was supposedly based on George Washington's mother's recipe. Here he is in an old Dromedary ad, eating the cake version:

I probably have that recipe in my old stuff from the late 1800s and early 1900’s . I’ll look.
