Post 9-11, we could have have changed immigration law and stopped Islamic immigration into our homeland. The political capital was there.
But we had Bush Junior, so we got idiotic stammering about “religion of peace”, and Islam kept coming and growing.

My best friend was killed in that stupid war. I remember the pride I felt when they had elections and held up their purple fingers, then the disgust years later when we abandoned the country.
Politicians are evil and vile corrupt people, those that send others to die, and start wars that wipe out thousands of civilians so they can get their bribes and kickback will find themselves on a special circle of hell.
But my friend was a brave and honorable man. He did his job because he loved his country, and so he could free people from oppression.
The cause is a separate thing and takes nothing from the honor of those who served.

after 4-5 years of boycott, I started watching the world series again. Tape and speed thru. No first pitch ceremony no national anthem, no hall of famers introduced at the game, and they still claim to be america’s past time.

But the scholars who are considered qualified “raters” of presidents rate Trump very low. That happened to Truman back in the day. The “raters” were wrong then, and they’re wrong now!

I did too, and I still say ending the sanctions was a good thing. Sadly, it's obvious by now that what was good for the Iraqi people wasn't what our government cared about.
