I remember my girlfriend in college—who spent a lot of time in the research lab—start talking about what turned out to be AIDS in very early 1980. It curtailed the development of our “relationship” until it appeared it was mostly gay men. I pointed out to her that we were very much NOT gay.
And no…it was not government created.
Correct. It was not government created. But it was spread by hedonism which is encouraged by government.

The "OPV/AIDS" theory was highlighted in the 1999 book 'The River' by Edward Hooper. Africans were given Oral Polio Vaccines (OPV) in the late 50s and early 60s. Hooper says witnesses have told him that batches of those vaccines were "grown" in chimp cells at a lab in the Congo and that the chimp cells, and thus the vaccines, could have contained SIVs that jumped into humans. As Hooper wrote, "There are highly significant correlations between the places where this vaccine was administered and the places where AIDS first appeared on the planet."
After seeing Simian Virus 40 (SV40) show up in batches of the COVID-1984 shots and government bureaucrats lying through their teeth to deny developing banned gain-of-function bio-weapons, I would fully expect a modified virus that appeared out nowhere to have originated in lab funded by governments.

Interesting. I was in grad school in SF when AIDS hit. One of my favorite classmates, an incredibly handsome young man, was one of the first in the city to die. Everyone in class wondered whether we’d be next because we didn’t know what it was or how it was spread.
The girls in the class were relived when we learned it was spread by gay men.
