Here is the main positive I see here. Maybe Johnson will make sure the whole house doesn’t conspire against Trump to keep him from running/winning. Because only a fool could not see they were going to do everything they could to keep him out. You can bet it was about to be another “never before” event because they will even pass legislation if they have to in order to keep him out.
Sometimes you have to stir the pot to make sure nothing sticks and burns at the bottom of the pan. That’s exactly what Gaetz did in removing McCarthy. The GOPe thought they could maneuver things to win in the end by teaming up with the Democrats. They planned to return either McCarthy or someone even more acceptable to the democrats in the speaker’s chair. They wanted one of those “principled”(TM) conservatives that we hear them speak of so often. (Too bad Liz Cheney or Adam Kinzinger weren’t available. LOL!). The GOPe’s plan backfired and Gaetz won the day in the end.
The truth is that McCarthy failed to live up to his promises from day one. And he blamed the Freedom Caucus and President Trump for his failures.
From voting for every governmental funding increase to failing to release the Jan 6th videos, he has failed to live up to his promises. In addition, Biden should have already been brought to impeachment hearings. McCarthy has practically ignored all the evidence provided by Comer, et al in regards to the Biden family’s corruption. Any GOP President would have already been impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate on just half of the evidence.
We will see what happens by November 17 when the government needs to be funded.

BRAVO central_va!!! I have called the office to thank Gaetz he stood in the fires of the DC HELL and did not give an inch, I am also forever grateful!!! I am VERY disappointed in the Gaetz naysayers on this site, our country is in a downward spiral BECAUSE of these damn RINOS, yet people on this site degraded Gaetz every chance they got, I guess these stinking RINOS are just fine with them, SO DAMN DISAPPOINTING, probably the same Trump naysayers infecting the threads on this site!!
We are in a war, and that war is not in Ukraine, it is not in Israel, it is right here in our nation.
If you want to send your money to Ukraine, by all means, send them every penny you have. But quit demanding that all taxpayers support your conflict. We need our resources to fight the enemy from within, and we had better get serious as a heart-attack about the real threat this nation faces. I think these dolts actually subscribe to what Biden says:

That was once true, but we have squandered that reality with the stupidity of our leadership, in government, schools, and our institutions. From top to bottom our society has embraced corruption, but even worse is the hatred for our own nation. Sickeningly we no longer value the sanctity of life or embrace the Lord. We are far from perfect, but we did a much better job of it until the 1960s onward. This is why this nation is in deep trouble. Keep going on like everything is okay and you will lose your country. Lord help us all when this nation falls, for the world will fall along with it. You think it's crazy now, just wait until that becomes the reality. Let's just say if you think it looks bad right now, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Gaetz and company disrupted the entire GOP line of succession in the House. They hate him for that, but its what the party base wants.The "new guard" threw out the way that the "old guard" elevated people through seniority into leadership positions that freezes everyone else out. This practice effectively institutionalized the rot that metastasizes over time as the old-timers grew and strengthened their little fiefdoms within the caucus.
Now we have to find the "Gaetz" of the Senate.
