There was one guy on here lamenting the expanded playoffs — that the best teams can be taken out in a short series.
Sorry for those who feel that way. To me it means that low-budget teams can get hot and take out those high-salaried boys who think they can field the best team money can buy.
This is vindication for building with youngsters who are hungry.
Pitching, defense and speed are back in vogue. The D-backs have some low-budget pitchers who can flat get batters out.
I wonder if they made the Divisional Series Best-of-Seven rather than Best-Of-Five if that might cut down on the lower teams taking down the higher teams?
