When it is one’s own mind, others tend to not be apprised. He didn't say it, the author of the piece said it.
For many of us who pay attention to Country/Americana music, he was a significant artist until he was forced to retire due to throat problems. He was also a good conservative. He was married to a Dixie Tw*t, but had the sense to divorce her back in 2008.
