The university said the image and quiz, shown just before MSU’s Saturday game against the University of Michigan, came from a “third-party source.”

“We are deeply sorry for the content that was displayed, as this is not representative of our institutional values,” Matt Larson, the associate athletic director for MSU, said.

Larson added that MSU will stop using the third-party source, and that it will “implement stronger screening and approval procedures” for content shown on its videoboards.

Modern-day scoreboards are the problem. It's not a drive-in theater or a sports bar, it's a football stadium. Come to think of it, modern-day football stadiums could be part of the problem as well...But why blame it on the building when it's inhabitants are so easily distracted from the main event? Come to think of it, why not blame the idiots in the crowd who make it out to be something more than a collegiate sporting event?...And come to think of it, why not blame it on the fact that it was a collegiate sporting event?
