Thank you for saying that. I just wrapped up both my fiscal year-end and a 6-day bridge tournament. Is it still October? My brain is fried and I desperately need sleep. My post was worded so badly that it came out completely wrong. You are correct that the alternate slates of electors HAD to be rejected so the rest of the plan could proceed. the alternate slates were never presented to the President of the Senate. If they had, Pence was going to refuse them.

I think they were sent or presented to archives and archives did not pass them on.

(I can't prove this, (as I didn't save the document and I haven't been able to find it since and i keep looking), I saw a document that VP Pence signed an agreement with Mitch, to not accept any alternate slate of electors.)
