Domestic law is the most dangerous type of law for an attorney to practice and the most dangerous for a judge to preside over.
An attorney I worked for was representing a divorce client and her husband showed up at the attorney’s office one day with a gun planning to kill him. Luckily, the attorney was at lunch and the guy didn’t take his anger out on the staff. (This was before I was employed there). The client’s husband was upset that the wife was awarded the Mercedes at the temporary hearing held earlier that day.
Sounds like the judge made the right decision, certainly from a character standpoint.
