I had been a lifelong proponent for vaccination programs up until the horribly botched Covid vaccines. Vaccinations once were the gold standard of medical treatment and prevented more illness and saved more lives than all other medical procedures combined.
As a Hazmat Team leader I received more vaccinations than the vast majority of other people, and I actually volunteered to drive a bus to take senior citizens to places where they could get their flu shots and other vaccinations that were important to maintain their longevity. Ultimately, the botched Covid vaccination program will likely kill more people by gutting peoples. trust in vaccinations than the virus ever could.
Even I now think twice even before getting so much as a Tetanus booster. I no longer have any trust in the companies developing vaccines. They have shown their true colors, and it is pretty ugly. As for the people here, who are still pushing the Covid vaccines... I have lost trust in their judgment.
GOOD!

Says the Medical/industrial complex. Get back to me when the studies are in.
Sad if they EVER got any CONvid shots.

There’s an old adage:
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Small Pox was the gold standard. I’d get that one now if I could. Polio, after some trial and error, deserves silver. I am a fan of the Tetanus booster.
Beyond a very short list, they shouldn’t be required for school, and I would favour simply making them available through the school for those who haven’t bothered with a doctor.
I’m highly dubious about the flu (I can still recall my Great-Grandfather and Guillame Barret (Sp.??), and Chicken Pox is, in my opinion, stupid.
We have immune systems. Getting sick occasionally is part of being generally healthy. If Big Pharma was going this out of the generosity of their hearts, I’d be a bit more open. The medical-instrial-govenmental complex is out to look out for its own.
There’s an old adage:
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
My daughter (who just gave birth this morning to her second child) was pregnant with her first child during Covid. She never got vaxxed. It cost her her career as a nurse, but she refused to turn her children into Guinea pigs.
People are still getting those shots?
Amazing.
The Flu vacc isn’t all that useful for most anyway. IIRC the effectiveness works out to somewhere around 20%. My personal experience is that I have gotten “sick” every single time I’ve bothered to get the Flu shot, and when I haven’t bothered, have had approximately a 1 in 20 rate of actually getting the flu.
The “sickness” from the flu shot is almost certainly my body launching into the immune response to getting hit with three or four different flu viruses (attenuated or dead, it still looks the same to the body), but it puts me down for a couple of days nevertheless. The actual flu, on the few occasions that I’ve contracted it, puts me down for 5-7 days. So for now, to me, the trade off of not getting the flu shot is worth it.
And now that the pharma companies are talking about revamping the flu shot to use the new mRNA technology, I’m even less inclined to have any interest in it. And on top of that, they want to turn the flu shot into a combo shot together with the “covid vaxx” injection. I have no confidence that clinics will disclose that they’re giving the combo shot rather than a flu-only shot, so I’ll be even less likely to consider getting the shot.
My real concern now is that my kiddo’s school says the flu shot is required, and I really don’t feel comfortable taking that risk. I haven’t gotten pushback from the school yet, but I know it’s coming and I’m undecided as to how I will handle it.
Good post.
Once trust is lost it is lost forever—and there is no fix.
Almost every major institution in the country has destroyed its reputation with lies—and then more lying about their previous lies.
We are on our own.
Can’t even imagine the horror and shame/guilt that would come with getting a vaccine while pregnant, and having something seriously wrong with the child when born-
This was recognized long before there was a medical/industrial complex. Vaccines eventually eliminated many horrible maladies that killed millions of people a year. Now that we have opened our borders to peoples from countries where these illnesses were never controlled with vaccination programs they are making a comeback here in the USA.
The outcome from a comeback of deadly communicable diseases on a population that no longer trusts vaccines is very predictable. A lot of people are going to be getting very sick and dying from preventable illnesses.
Covid is no longer any more deadly than the flu, 95% of the population here have some form of immunity, and the vaccines in some cases have been shown to have negative efficacy. The more that government agencies promote failed Covid vaccines, the more that they prevent people from getting vaccines that actually have value.
This may be a “hard swallow” for you—but you may want to research whether home schooling is feasible in your situation.
The online tools these days are outstanding.
Many families work through their churches to make sure socialization is happening—and help each other through the process.
Change is hard—no doubt—but doing the early research does not force you to make any quick decision.
I glad she stood her ground for the sake of her child. It’s unforgivable to put people into making that choice.
I lost my good GP doctor because he refused to take the vaxx.
One analogy is banks.
In many countries in the third world the banks failed and people lost all their money.
Then when those folks move to countries where banks are more sound they still refuse to put their money in banks.
Once you have gotten burned you get super cautious.
I’ve also heard “Fool me once, strike one. Fool me twice, strike three”. I like that one :)
