I rescue cats. I trap, neuter, and release the feral cats that live in my backyard.

I used to feed a couple of old feral cats on my patio but last year the population exploded.

I now have approximately 20.

I've still got a ways to go in getting them all fixed, but I'll get there.

It is expensive BTW. I have spent about $2,000 so far on vets.

My local animal control offers TNR for free but you can only drop the cat off on Mondays and Tuesdays and pick up the next day.

I'm certainly not going to hold a cat in a live trap for any number of days just so I can take it in on those two days.

We have a non-profit nearby, Planned Pethood, that does it relatively inexpensively — $25. We have use them often, and donated to them.
